KZN BLACK DESIGNERS AND FASHION -

KZN life style is in need of an  event with an aim to create a platform for the local designers particularly the black designers, so that they can speak to their targeted consumer in the manner understood to the them due to the common culture,  language they all share.  The poster above is s truly KZN product:

MODELS: IINDONI MODELS

So, I land up in the  fashion scene, the inevitable of being a model,  or should I say a retired model?

True to the seed fallen from the apartheid regime , I cant seem to shake off the race factor.  As a result, I yearn for the true South African signature in fashion drawn from the Zulu culture designed by the Zulus for the world to celebrate this rich culture.  This is the base at which I critically look at fashion trends.
It is hard to  list top ten BLACK high fashion designer in our lush KZN province.

Below is Akhona of IINDONI MODELS dressed in a creation by Pregasin of Red Envy for the Gold Cup designer showcase.  The designers had to choose a flag and come up with a design based on the countries flag they had picked.  This was a pre 2010 Soccer world cup concept.

The picture was taken at the Life Style Oasis  pre Durban July party ( by Black Inc. events). The fashion show was a fusion of Fashion and music produced by Decamm Productions.  Its a good attempt to show South African design inspired by the South African flag.

Is this the best we can do?
